Studying Strokework with Maureen McNaughton

SDP artist members from across the U.S. jumped at the chance to study with strokework legend Maureen McNaughton in two Home to the Heartland seminars taught at SDP Headquarters.

Nov. 6-8

Nov. 10-12
Maureen painted this white rose and pink ribbon piece to raise funds for breast cancer research and education. In addition to the sale of pins based on this painting, optional donations were accepted in exchange for drawing tickets for a chance to win the original artwork. SDP Recording Secretary Linda Biedermann looks on as the artist draws the name of the winner: Anita Bierbaum

SDP has just completed another successful Home to the Heartland seminar!

A total of 44 students were in attendance and Maureen kept their brushes busy. Maureen is a leader in the decorative painting field and it's because she's a fantastic teacher, plus, her designs are a knockout! Thank you Maureen and all the students for coming to Wichita, KS and painting and studying in the SDP classroom.
